2015 #yearofthefestivals

At the beginning of 2015, Laura and I decided that 2015 would be known as the year of the festivals. We tried to go to as many festivals as possible in 2015. Most we went to together, some we went to with other folks.  All-in-all, though we did a pretty good job of attending festivals in 2015. Here's the rundown:

5.16.2015 - Spring Zing at Capital One
(Not sure it was really a festival but it was fun)
Verdict: I would do it again!

5.31.2015 - Greek Festival (no photos but Laura, Amanda A. and I went... YUM!!!) 

Verdict: This is my FAVORITE Richmond Festival, so I would do it again!

6.7.2015 - Broad Appetit (So fun! Also no photos)

Verdict: I would MAYBE do it again, but it was hot and crowded

6.14.2015 - Bacon Festival

Verdict: I probably would skip this one!

Mmmmm... bacon burger!

Peanut Butter, Banana, and Bacon Ice Cream (it wasn't my favorite)

6.20.2015 - Vegetarian Festival
Verdict: You won't find me here again!

6.20.2015 - Savor Virginia
Verdict: You probably won't find me here again, either!

6.28.2015 - Food & Wine Festival at Busch Gardens

Verdict: You probably won't find me at this one again, unless I'm already at Busch Gardens!

Mmmmmm... Sangria!

7.11.2015 - Hanover Tomato Festival

Verdict: I would DEFINITELY do it again!

This grilled cheese sandwich was AMAZING!!! As were all
 the ones I made with Hanover Tomatoes!

7.18.2015 - Pork, Peanut and Pine Festival

Verdict: You probably won't see me here again!

8.9.2015 - Carytown Watermelon Festival

Verdict: I might do it again, but probably not!

8.16.2015 - Brew BQ

Verdict: I would do it again!

This is where we discovered Bold Rock IPA
(Laura has been in love with it ever since!)

9.20.2015 - St. Benedictine's Oktoberfest

Verdict: I would do it again, even though I wasn't there I've been before!

I was out of town for this one but Laura went with Kristi and Bethany
and ran into this guy while she was there!

10.10.2015 - Virginia Wine and Garlic Festival

Verdict: Definitely would NOT go back to this!

10.11.2015 - Fredericksburg Wine Festival

Verdict: I would probably skip it!

Lila and I all dressed up at the festival!

10.16.2015 - Oktoberfest Round 2 (this time I was in attendance and so was Anna!)

Verdict: I would do it again!

10.17.2015 - Midlothian Fall Festival

Verdict: Wouldn't go out of my way for this!

11.6.2015 - Urbanna Oyster Festival

Verdict: I would do it again!

I would like that glass of wine!

11.7.2015 - Brunswick Stew Festival (no photos and

Laura had to brave this one without me since I was out of town!)

Verdict: I would do it again, even though I wasn't there, I have been before and it's GOOD!

11.13.2015 - Mini Greek Festival

Verdict: I might do it again!

We had a great crowd for this one! So fun!

11.15.2015 - HOPS in the Park

Verdict: I would do it again!

Of course we got our picture with the hop dude!

12.5.2015 - Handmade Holiday

Verdict: Eh... it's alright, probably could be convinced to go back.

So out of 20+ festivals there are only a handful that I might do again, but it was a really fun goal for the year. Thanks Laura for #yearofthefestivals! It was an entertaining year!
